- Have your vehicle as clean as possible.
- Have the windshield replaced if there is a major crack or obstruction.
- If necessary, change the oil & top up the fluids. Buyers always check the condition & level of fluids.
- Supply available service records.
- Disclose any accident, salvage or rebuilt status for the vehicle.
- Make sure it is in good running condition and mechanically sound.
- Provide your buyer with a mechanical fitness report, lien search or CarProof report. The more information you can provide, the easier it will be to sell your vehicle.
- Ensure there is at least half a tank of fuel for test drives.
- Do not overprice your vehicle. Price it close to what it is worth in the marketplace as a private sale.
- Be patient. Some vehicles require more time to sell than others.
